SIREN

Real-Time Hazard Alerts, Wired to Per-Asset Financial Impact

SIREN monitors ten climate and natural hazard types in real time - coastal surge, riverine flooding, seismic, wildfire, wind, heat, cold, drought, snow, and ice - using only authoritative agency feeds. Every alert resolves through the REST damage-curve engine to produce an updated Expected Annual Loss and percentile Value-at-Risk per affected asset, delivered via webhook, email, SMS, Slack, or Teams. Alerts you can underwrite, not just dashboard.

Key Features

Real-time hazard alerts wired directly to per-asset financial impact, sourced exclusively from authoritative agency feeds.

Ten-Hazard Real-Time Alerts

Coastal storm surge, riverine flooding, seismic, wildfire, high wind, heat waves, cold anomaly, drought, intense snow, and ice storm. Each hazard ships with its own detection logic, threshold model, and authoritative feed.

Customizable Thresholds

Per-asset or per-portfolio threshold configuration. Set the wind speed, flood depth, fire distance, or peak ground acceleration that matters for your assets; SIREN handles the polling, deduplication, and escalation.

Authoritative Source Feeds

Direct ingest from FEMA OpenFEMA, USGS FDSN earthquakes, NOAA NHC and storm tracks, GDACS multi-hazard alerts, NASA FIRMS active fires, ReliefWeb humanitarian alerts, and Copernicus EMS rapid mapping. Canonical sources, no aggregators.

Financial VaR Linkage

Every alert resolves through the same REST damage-curve engine to produce an updated Expected Annual Loss and percentile VaR per affected asset. Alerts you can underwrite, not just dashboard.

Multi-Channel Delivery

Webhook, email, SMS, Slack, and Teams. Persistent retry, deduplication, and acknowledgement tracking ensure the right team sees the alert the first time.

Audit-Ready Event Logs

Every alert ships with the underlying source record, the threshold rule that fired it, the affected asset list, and a permanent event ID. Sourced, timestamped, and exportable for regulator inquiries.

Technical Capabilities

The detection stack behind every SIREN alert: authoritative agency-feed ingest, a configurable rules engine, and the REST damage engine resolving each event into an updated VaR.

Authoritative Disaster Registry

Direct ingest of FEMA OpenFEMA (US declarations 1953-present), USGS FDSN earthquakes (global), GDACS multi-hazard alerts, NASA FIRMS active-fire detections, ReliefWeb, Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping, and NOAA storm tracks - refreshed at each agency's native cadence.

Threshold Rules Engine

Rules can fire on any combination of physical intensity (depth, PGA, wind speed, flame length), proximity to an asset polygon, declaration class, and recent-events history. Custom rules deploy via the same REST API your portfolio team already uses.

Real-Time Financial Resolution

Every fire perimeter, earthquake epicenter, or hurricane track resolves through the REST closed-form damage engine in sub-millisecond time, producing an updated EAL and VaR per affected asset before the alert ships.

Acknowledgement & Escalation

Persistent alert state with read receipts, escalation paths if an alert sits unacknowledged, and a permanent event log that survives every state transition - designed for incident response, not dashboard noise.
